Synchro Taiwan, already in the midst of planning the first official AWD Synchronized Swimming Symposium this coming June 2015, is already creating another 'First' with introducing their first visually impaired male synchronized swimmer! Sammy started the program last October and has already passed his novice phase! With the announcement from FINA of allowing 'Mixed Pairs' for the sports of diving and synchronized swimming, this brings exciting news for Taiwan, who will now have a male swimmer in training. Perhaps, we may be 'treated' to a short duet demonstration at the Synchro Symposium this June! Welcome Sammy! It is not really 'known' how many visually impaired synchro swimmers exist, but we do know around the World, we have heard of only a 'handful'. We hope to find them and showcase these fabulous synchro swimmers on our website. If you have any information, please email us!
